If you wish, we can also equip your picture with a stretcher frame. Our stretcher frames are multi-bonded and guarantee the highest possible freedom from distortion.

From a side length of 100 cm | 40" we can unfortunately not offer you an additional stretcher frame. To avoid transport damages, all pictures that exceed a side length of 100 cm are sent rolled.

We offer you two possibilities to have your picture drawn.

Photorealistic: Your picture is drawn photo realistically. Here the recognition value is highest.

Creative : We abstract your oil painting and redesign it creatively. If you choose this option, we will make sketches and make suggestions for the design. Only if you like our sketches, your picture goes into the drawing. You will receive the sketches by e-mail after ordering.

If you already have ideas and suggestions for implementation, then name them in the last step

On request our artists will sign the painting. The signature usually appears in the lower edge of the picture (right or left).

It is also possible to issue a certificate. This certificate contains additional information about the artist and the origin of the painting.

You have taken a great architectural photo on a holiday trip or you live in an interesting city with distinctive buildings? Our architectural oil painting is just the right thing for you. Feel the colours and canvas in your hands with our hand-painted oil paintings. We work with many artists who are specialized in architectural painting up to the old classic Canaletto painting. Architecture paintings are especially difficult to draw, because photos of buildings or cities hide many hidden details. Years of experience in oil painting make it possible to paint exactly these fine elements. We are looking forward to your photo, you will be enthusiastic about our work.

Become an art object with our artists
Our artists are there to make sure you get a great piece of art. On request we personalize your picture. We can adjust the background, influence the drawing style and also make corrections and make-up work on your original image. We want it to be your perfect picture.

Proofs for your portrait included
Before we dry your picture, you will get a preview of your oil painting. If you are not yet satisfied with this, we will implement your correction suggestions. Only when you are satisfied with the picture, we start drying your painting.

The fingerprint of the artist with signature and certificates
Would you like the artist to sign your oil painting? When ordering, you can indicate if you would like a signature on the oil painting. As a special service we also offer you the delivery of a certificate. With this you will learn more about the artist and the origin of your painting.

From the stretcher frame to the decorative wooden frame
You can have your picture decorated with a stretcher frame right away. The edges of the frame are always painted in colour, so that you have a nice 3D effect on your living room wall. After the completion of your oil painting we offer you an optional wooden frame for your picture.

Unpacking & Hanging
No matter which type of frame you choose - wooden frame or stretcher frame - your oil painting will be delivered so that you can hang it up right away. Mounting material and hangers are mounted directly on your oil painting.

Here's how your order's gonna go:

Day 01-02: After order acceptance you will receive a sketch of your painting, if necessary, to make the final arrangements regarding motif, background or size.

Day 02-15 : We plan on an average of 14 working days for your oil painting. Oil paintings are painted in several layers, so it takes some time to dry the individual sub layers. Your oil painting will be made by a single artist.

Day 15-17: During this period you will receive a preview of your oil painting. Change requests can now be incorporated. Here your cooperation is required, because we only release the oil painting for drying when you have found the preview to be good.

Day 18-23: Drying and finishing. In this phase we apply the varnish to the dry oil painting. After finishing we add the oil painting for framing and you will receive the ordered stretcher frame.

From day 25: Your oil painting will be prepared for delivery and shipping.

Your shipping options:

We offer you 3 different ways of production and shipping for your oil painting

1. regular standard shipping:

Your oil painting will be sent to your home by a forwarding agent after completion. We do not charge a shipping fee for standard shipping within Germany

Second ThinkGreen service:

Your oil painting will be sent CO2 neutral after completion. This is an offer from GLS. The proceeds from the ThinkGreen service flow into reforestation projects of PrimaKlima -worldwide - e. V. The aim is to reclaim forest areas in regions such as Malaysia and Bolivia. In recent years, 5,903 tons of CO2 have been captured. The cost of the ThinkGreen service is 5.90 EUR

The Express models:

First Polar Bear Express:

The Eisbär Express is not an express shipment in the true sense of the word. On the contrary! In our society it is common to buy goods and have them delivered the next or the next but one working day - at the expense of the environment. Since we work with a global network of artists, we also have to ask ourselves the question of sustainability. Customers who choose the Eisbär Express as their shipping model relax our delivery commitments of 20 to 30 working days. We collect your picture with pictures of other customers and send them to us together. However, the total delivery time will not exceed 45-50 working days. Once a year (1st quarter) we paint a 2 m XXL oil or acrylic painting and donate the proceeds to a previously determined climate project. If you wish, your name will be mentioned on the painting. If you are not in a hurry, then consciously decide for this free shipping option

2. 14-day express drawing:

You're in a hurry? We shorten the work process and hire more artists to get your painting finished at the right time. With an express drawing, your order is prioritized with our artists and art studios. Due to the increased effort and the extensive logistics we charge a surcharge of 99,00 EUR.

How do I order an oil painting? What do I have to consider??: You can order your oil painting from this page using the configurator. The configurator will ask you some questions about your order. There you can also upload your photos and express specific design wishes. You can also upload several photos of the house or buildings. We will discuss the best options with you and support you after we have received your order. If necessary, we will also create a free sketch. When choosing a photo, please make sure that the objects to be painted are clearly visible.
How long does it take to paint a picture of a building in oil??: Depending on how much work is involved, we calculate approx. 20-30 working days until your picture is delivered. However, we also have an express option for you. If you order the picture as express, you will have it at home within 14 days.
Which frame should I choose??: We offer you several options here. Each oil painting belongs on a stretcher frame. For smaller pictures an 18 mm|0.7" deep stretcher frame is completely sufficient. If you wish, we can frame your picture directly before delivery. Large pictures from a side length of 100 cm | 40" are always delivered rolled. If you book a stretcher frame on a large painting with us, we will include the stretcher frame for self-assembly.
Why can't I choose a nice wooden frame yet??: It is absolutely important that we paint the picture first and then show you your framing possibilities. Only after the picture is finished do we know what it will look like. Based on the colour and style we can then choose a suitable frame for you. If you are interested in a beautiful wooden frame, then order your oil painting with an 18 mm | 0.7 " standard stretcher frame, because this is a prerequisite for any further wooden frame. We will contact you automatically after completion of your oil painting. If you don't want another wooden frame, then that is no problem either. The sides of our oil paintings are always painted with paint, so that you will not have white side edges. We only offer the possibility of an additional wooden frame up to a maximum side margin of 100 cm | 40". Larger paintings with frames could possibly be damaged during transport. We recommend that you frame your pictures locally.
When will I receive a preview of my oil painting??: After the artist has finished drawing your picture, you will be sent a preview. Now you can check the preview and express possible wishes and corrections. As soon as we have integrated them into the oil painting you will receive another preview. We work on the picture until you are 100% satisfied with it.
